Many years ago, my dear husband was bitten by a mosquito. By the time we arrived at the hospital, he was in a coma and had remained there for many weeks. Not knowing if he would live or die was taking its toll on me, and my emotions and feelings were causing stress, anxiety, and overwhelm. I was losing myself. Something had to change.
I started researching how to make that change. I took courses, read many books, and consulted with doctors. Some were helpful, others not. I spent years and a lot of energy and money working my way through all of the information to understand how I could help myself. Which I finally did.
As a primary caregiver for my husband, who was in and out of the hospital, I had a lot of dealings with the nursing staff and noticed that they were exhibiting the same symptoms of anxiety, stress, and overwhelm that I had felt many years before.
Now I have made it my mission to help nurses avoid burnout and eliminate stress, and overwhelming anxiety from their lives. So they can enjoy their nursing roles, serve others in the way they want, and still find balance and harmony in their own lives.
